《城寨晚報》是一份專為《九龍城寨》酒吧設計的創意飲品菜單,整體以舊式報紙為藍本,從排版網格、字體設計、黑白印刷到紙張觸感皆講究還原。其設計靈感源自報紙的即時性與公共性,讓一張普通的菜單轉化為城市故事的載體——讓顧客彷彿在閱讀一本關於「九龍城寨」的當日報導,而非單純翻閱菜單。

報紙作為一種過時媒介,在這裡成為具文化象徵的視覺語言:它沉穩、密集、充滿舊時香港的日常節奏。視覺層面上,透過大量文字堆疊與攝影插圖的編排,菜單本身如同一份復古印刷品,讓人誤以為來到了舊報檔。功能與情感並重,點餐的過程不再只是選擇,而是一次深入品牌世界觀的沉浸式體驗。

“Shing Chai Maan Bou” is a concept drink menu styled as an old Hong Kong newspaper — printed large, folded like a daily, and filled with black-and-white typography and analog textures. Every detail, from the tight editorial grids to the headline-style drink names, invites guests to read rather than scan.

The idea goes beyond aesthetics: it treats the act of ordering as a moment of narrative immersion. The menu itself becomes a prop, a portal, a piece of fiction that frames the Kowloon Walled City bar not just as a space to drink, but as a memory to live inside. It’s design as storytelling, typography as mood — a printed document that blurs the line between function and fiction.
